Core parameters and structural design of slope protection anchoring drilling rig: How to define drilling capacity?

Apr 18, 2026

Slope protection anchoring drilling rigs are core equipment in piling machinery used for geological drilling and slope reinforcement, especially in anti-buoyancy anchor construction and geotechnical engineering.

The performance of a slope protection anchoring drilling rig is determined by several key parameters. For example, the maximum borehole diameter (typically 250mm) directly affects the anchoring strength of a single operation; the drilling depth (up to 40 meters) determines the equipment's applicability in deep foundation pits or high slope projects; the power head model (such as a dual hydraulic power head) provides more stable torque output through the coordinated operation of two motors, avoiding the risk of stuck drill bits.

Furthermore, the equipment's walking method (tracked) and climbing angle (25°) enable it to adapt to complex terrains such as mountains and slopes; the four hydraulic outriggers (extending laterally by 1.5 meters) increase the support area, improving stability during drilling and reducing the impact of vibration on the quality of the borehole.
